About Us
A veteran primary school teacher of 15 years, I took the last 5 years off to be a stay-at-home mum. I realized how much I missed working with children, and while I wasn't ready to return to a traditional classroom, I yearned for the meaningful connections I had with my students. That's when I discovered play therapy—a perfect mix of my love for children and my interest in psychology. It allows me to be part of transformative change in children's lives.
I believe there are no "problem" children, just children facing challenges and trauma who need a safe space to be heard and validated. My goal is to understand the emotional needs behind each child's behaviour, so we can address the root causes, not just the symptoms. When children can grow and heal in a way that is appropriate for them, they learn skills needed to continue that social, emotional, and cognitive growth outside the therapy room.
My journey with my own child has deeply reinforced the power of play therapy. The positive impact on our relationship has been transformative. The skills I've learned have made me a better parent, and watching my child grow into a confident and resilient individual is breath-taking.
With a background in Human Development and Family Studies, I understand the importance of a holistic approach to working with children and families. Every aspect of a child's world affects their emotional growth, and families play a crucial role in supporting this development.
Seeing children discover their own power, intelligence, creativity, and magnificence is one of my greatest joys. Watching families come together and thrive is equally fulfilling. I'm committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where children can grow and heal through the natural process of play.
Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to working with you and your child.
